In the years preceding medical school, she completed four years of genetics research at Columbia Medical Center’s Personalized Medicine group, while developing a deeper understanding of the rapidly growing field of personalized medicine. She published several papers in peer-reviewed journals on the role of genetic mutations in the aging-brain.

Dr. Kahn subsequently worked as a Board-Certified internist for 1900 patients affiliated with a large academic institution. In addition to routine primary care, her practice focused on weight management, obesity and metabolic health. She is skilled in devising personalized treatment plans with medication, therapeutic carbohydrate restriction and motivational counseling. Dr Kahn is an expert in managing comorbid conditions such as high cholesterol, obstructive sleep apnea, hypertension, diabetes and osteoporosis. Rated 4.8/5 with 600+ patient reviews, she has received stellar patient feedback, particularly in clinical decision making, achieving patient weight goals and bedside manner.

With over 14 years of education, Amanda is a life-long learner who is committed to both excellent patient care and innovation in the fields of genetics, obesity and aging. She is currently pursuing a fellowship in obesity medicine and is a member of the American Academy for Anti-Aging Medicine. She recently attended the 2024 Longevity Doctors’ consortium lead by some of the pioneers in the field. She currently serves on the medical advisory board for a French-American compression garment company (Elastique Athletics), providing expert opinion on functional clothing, microcirculation, lymphatic support and cellulite reduction.
